I was born and raised in
Chicago. I took an immediate liking to music as a kid. My dad
played many instruments and was always listening to Elvis, The Sha Na Na,
Buddy Holly and other great artists back then.
In Jr. High, the school started a school band, I knew I wanted to play an
instrument but couldn't decide which one. The instructor suggested the
trombone because there wasn't a lot of students playing it at the time.
So after one year of playing the trombone and watching and listening to the
drummers in the band, I knew then what I wanted to play.
I bought my first drum set in high school where I played in the school band
for one year, then decided to take drum lessons from independent drum
teachers.
In the early 90's I formed a band with a good friend of mine and his
brother, the band was called The Sonic Hipsters. The band performed
current rock/alternative/classic rock hits in many Chicagoland
establishments and venues for numerous years. Years later and bands later, I
joined The Leftovers in 2004 and played continuously with the band enjoying
a great run with some great band mates.
And now, in the fall of
2006, I joined My Sacrifice and look forward to performing and entertaining
with the band. I look forward to seeing the familiar faces and meeting
new friends as we play the Chicagoland circuit.
